for the shop lettering i first printed of a template then used illustrator to make a vector based image of it to be laser cut. i then backlit the printed page and used it to template my letters.

For the squares i used a grid which sized down to make each scapel cut on each page.
for the holes in all the books i used a embroidery punch needle to make the holes the specific sizes.
For the perfect square i used a similer technique as the Shop letters. I printed off the square at the correct size and centering then back lit it and drew it onto the layout paper.
